Whether you are already active, new to exercise, recovering from injury or just looking for a new class to gain muscle tone, increase flexibility and relax.


Pilates aims to bring together mind and body focusing strongly on concentration, balance, precision and breathing.


There really is a class for everyone and at all ages and fitness levels so there is no reason not to get in touch. :-)


All my groups are lovely and friendly, are a great excuse to treat your mind and body and even make new friends.

What is Pilates?

Pilates aims to bring together mind and body focusing strongly on concentration, balance, precision and breathing.

 

Pilates is a low impact, gentle form of exercise and was introduced in the early 1900s by Joseph Pilates.

 

Pilates focuses on stretching and strengthening the whole body in order to improve muscle tone, flexibilty and posture. The exercises performed can help improve joint mobility and are often used to relieve stress and tension. 

 

Pilates is great for all age ranges and I currently have an age range of as young as 14 to mid 70s. Class sizes are kept small specifically so that the class can be tailored to your individual needs.

 

Classes will consist of slow controlled flowing movements which will primarily strengthen the ‘core’ muscles that stabilise and support the spine, realign the body and correct postural problems.
